Adrienne Woods grew up in a musical family in the small southern town Florence, South Carolina. She started playing the cello at age four and formed a piano quartet with her family including violinist Chris Woods, violist Sherry Woods, and pianist Benjamin Woods. After winning a full scholarship to the University of South Carolina,  she studied with cellist Robert Jesselson and jazz instructor Bert Ligon and she learned both classical and jazz repertoire. After attending The Henry Mancini Institute in California, she was inspired to move to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams of playing music in rich cultural and diverse setting with other high level creative artists and musicians. 
     Since being in Los Angeles, Adrienne has played studio work, orchestral works, television shows, played remote sessions, and toured with many star artists. She has played  with Shaggy, Faith Evans, Josh Groban, and Michael Buble, Halle x Chloe, and Mariah Carey, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lemar, Ne-Yo, Ludacris, Hans Zimmer, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Mary J Blige, Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera and many more. She has also been featured in several music videos from Josh Groban, Kanye West, Rod Stewart, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani and more.

Adrienne has also been featured prominently for many tours including the Jonas Brothers, Lana Del Rey, John Legend, Ariana Grande, Adele, and FKJ's US tour.

Adrienne has performed  in the house band for many televised performances and shows including American Idol, the American Music Awards, The Grammys, the BET Awards, Jimmy Kimmel, the Tonight Show, the Voice, Dancing with the Stars, The Oscars, the Emmys, and the Lady Gaga Jazz and piano in Las Vegas.

Other places you can find Adrienne playing cello are the show Glee, Boston Public, How I met your Mother, Star Is Born, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and many other featured roles. She has toured with the Jonas Brothers, John Legend, Ariana Grande, and Adele and more recently with the artist FKJ. She has played on film scores from Bad Boys for Life, Blackkkansman, Beverly Hills Cop (2024), The Color Purple, Coming 2 America, Creed III, Da 5 Bloods, Empire, First Man, Green Book, Hidden Figures, The Lion King (2019), The Simpsons, A Star Is Born, Transformers (Rise of the Beasts and The Last Night) and X-men: Dark Phoenix.

Adrienne's skills are as diverse as her heritage, and  although she is rooted in classical traditions on the cello, she has continued developing skills from improvisation, studio and film work, singing and songwriting, composition, beat making, original live performances, and home studio recording. Her album Day and Night debuted in 2008, and features her vocals, playing several instruments, as well as the talents of many other amazing musicians. This album chronicles her experiences through life and and love in a lush live rock musical experience. She is currently working on more of her own music and videos that will debut soon!
